Tommy Hilfiger Collection Runthrough

As the title suggests, I was lucky enough to be invited to the Tommy Hilfiger A/W 12 collection runthrough at their news store on Old Brompton Road, Kensington.

We were taken through the colletion's themes, key inspiration and look by the head of design and then given the opportunity to shop the night away of a glass of champagne and elderflower cocktails, courtesy of Harper's Bazaar.

The store is a stunning represenation of the Hilfiger luxury brand, and you feel truly at home shopping amongst the old wood pillars, tapestry rugs and beautiful clothing. Each piece has been beautifully crafted from the warmest, opulent fabrics, embodying Hilfiger chic to the highest degree. Perfect cableknit winter dresses, silk numbers for eveningwear, and the warmest wool coats complete a collection that is the remedy for New York and London Winter gathering.

Take a look and shop the collection over at: http://uk.tommy.com/

LFW DAY 1 - Quick peek

I have neglected my blog due to a ridiculous lack of time to do anything apart from work, let alone blog about what I have been working on. So while I try to sort out various posts and a moment for me to sit down, here are a few photos from Carlotta's show on Day 1 of London Fashion Week. There are more stunning photos to come from a collection that involved big hair, big heels and dancing!

Riccardo

My favourite looks from the past 5 seasons of Givenchy couture. I don't need to say much else, Riccardo Tisci's creations do all the talking.

Fall Perfection

Steven Miesel photographs the best of the Fall/Winter 12/13 collections for Vogue Italia's July issue. The likes of Prada, Rick Owens, Louis Vuitton, Alexander McQueen and Comme des Garcons are featured in the editorial and it really is a stunning piece of work.

self service part 2

As promised, here is the editorial I produced for self service magazine as part of my final project at university. This shoot was the most fun I have ever had, playing around with wigs, make up and clothes in the studio with my stunning friend! I am so happy with how the images came out and think they look great in the traditional self service layout. Can't wait to see what 2nd year holds!

Absence Makes The Heart Grow Fonder? PART 1

I have been MIA for a while now, i'm sorry. The only excuse for this is my ridiculous excuse for a life at the moment. I've been so busy with various kinds of work and trying to get an hour of sleep here and there, that my blog has really suffered. So, to make it up to you, here is a shoot I recently did for an old friend who is studying fashion design at CSM. She's a great designer and I look forward to doing more work with her in the future. This is one of the garments I photographed for her based on the boundary between insanity and sanity.

P.S. I promise i'll get better at this whole writing thing

New Endings

First, I must apologise for my absence over the holidays. I have been busy with family, work and my university project. As Christmas and New Year is over, sales have started all over the place and obviously this means my browsing of online shops has increased. I haven't bought anything in the sales apart from a beautifully simply navy jumper from Zara. I'm not so bothered this time round, whether it be due to the need for me to save money or just because nothing excites me. Everything that has interested me has been online and either not in my size or full price. But, I thought i'd post a few dresses that are just PERFECT. When it comes to dresses I have a range of different styles, as you should. Recently I have been looking for dresses that really make you stand out, whether it be the material. colour or embellishment.
So, take a peek at my selections!

Cutout backs have always been a thing that catches my eye, as it is a lot sexier (in my opinion) that showing off your legs or cleavage. Add the fact that this is a chiffon shirt dress and I am sold!

Cutout + Black + Maxi = NEED
Having the cutout in an unconvential place makes it all the more interesting and lustworthy.

This dress is pretty simple, just what I like, but the metal tipped killer gives it a bit of an edge that makes you look at it for just that bit longer than if it was plain.

HERE IS THE FINALE. When I saw this dress from the front I didn't understand why it was anything special, then I looked at the back and my jaw dropped. If this was in black I would walk to the ends of the earth for it! The combination of long sleeves and intricate back laced up and cutout detail make it something I would wear very often so I could feel super sexy in it. Dream dress? FOUND.
