LFW DAY 1 - Quick peek

I have neglected my blog due to a ridiculous lack of time to do anything apart from work, let alone blog about what I have been working on. So while I try to sort out various posts and a moment for me to sit down, here are a few photos from Carlotta's show on Day 1 of London Fashion Week. There are more stunning photos to come from a collection that involved big hair, big heels and dancing!

H&M A/W 12

Having just taken over being the face of Dior Addict from Kate Moss, Daphne Groeneveld has very quickly worked her up the fashion ranks, so this new campaign for H&M's A/W 12 collection may seem a bit unexpected for her. She looks absolutely stunning in every image, giving off a great 60s vibe with heavy eyebrows, against her blonde bouffant hair. I know it's only August and we are only just getting a few days of sun here and there in England, but I cannot wait to start buying my chunky knits, wool coats and thigh highs for the upcoming autumnal months!

Fall Perfection

Steven Miesel photographs the best of the Fall/Winter 12/13 collections for Vogue Italia's July issue. The likes of Prada, Rick Owens, Louis Vuitton, Alexander McQueen and Comme des Garcons are featured in the editorial and it really is a stunning piece of work.

self service part 2

As promised, here is the editorial I produced for self service magazine as part of my final project at university. This shoot was the most fun I have ever had, playing around with wigs, make up and clothes in the studio with my stunning friend! I am so happy with how the images came out and think they look great in the traditional self service layout. Can't wait to see what 2nd year holds!

Editorial Selection

So I said i'd post the final three images for the editorial piece of my project. After much deliberation, involving me, my sister and my mum staring at a table full of photos and analysing every aspect possible, we decided on the final ones.

I wanted two portrait images and one landscape to make things a bit more interesting, and I am really pleased with the ones we picked. Together the images look great and really drive home the atmoshphere and feel of the photoshoot. When I put all the text in and design I will post those, but for now, here they are.

Here They Are

After 2 months of dying over this project, which isn't completely finished...yet, the photoshoot is done! The concept came quite quickly, after a while of procrastintaing, and then the photoshoot came together even easier. I was given the location by a friend, and the clothes were all mine. After a fitting with the model, who is a friend of a friend, but now a very good friend of my own.

A 6AM wake up call on shoot day saw me trek to work to meet the guy who was giving me the keys for the garage and have a well needed coffee...or 2...I met the model an hour later and grabbed some lipstcik and headed for the venue.

It was cold, very cold, but after we got going everything was fine and we were done within 3 hours. I took over 300 photos and when I thought we could stand the cold no longer decided to call it day and head for some food and tea.

After hours and hours and hours of editing at ridiculus hours of the morning and many days, they were finally done. I managed to get it down to a final 20. I only need 3 images for the end result of my project, but I will get to that eventually. I am very much ontop of this work so I am not worried about taking a break over this week.

Here are a few of the final images, and once I decide on the final 3, I will let you know!

Make-up tests

So, as I said, here are the make-up tests for the shoot I have planned. The theme is quite dark and underground, so I was experimenting with dip-dye hair, dark and dark lips. I tried red and purple lips (to match the hair) and really liked how both looks came out. For the actual shoot I am going to go with purple lips as I feel they bring out the colour in the hair.
