What ELLE Wears PART 2

I was featured again in last week's 'What ELLE Wears', this time in head-to-toe ZARA!

The wonderful Silvia Olsen really makes me enjoy having my photo taken, when I am so used to being behind the camera.

What ELLE Wears

Last week I was featured on ELLE UK's famous 'What ELLE Wears' blog:

It's an honour to be recognised as someone stylish by a magazine who I have worked for a while now, and as the largest fashion magazine!

DIY On The Catwalk

DIY is a trend that I find hard to replicate myself; obviously my print, colour, body coordination isn't right for it, but Fashion156 have proved that there are many designers and people that have it oh so right.

All over the A/W 13 there were designers bursting to show their take on the trend, with badges, patches, embellishment and colours running wild! With times being hard, designers are looking to reflect the times; people are saving money by re-vamping old clothes, making them into new ones or just giving them a little spruce; anything to stay on-trend but in the black.

Louise Gray gave us metallic trays and duct tape bangles

Ashish presented the all-important reflective jacket

James Long's knits were sea-worn and recycled

Dsquared went 90's badge collecting

The Rodarte sisters brought matching applique and tie-dye to the catwalk

Ethnic print and patchwork were the order of the day at Vivienne Westwood

Here They Are

After 2 months of dying over this project, which isn't completely finished...yet, the photoshoot is done! The concept came quite quickly, after a while of procrastintaing, and then the photoshoot came together even easier. I was given the location by a friend, and the clothes were all mine. After a fitting with the model, who is a friend of a friend, but now a very good friend of my own.

A 6AM wake up call on shoot day saw me trek to work to meet the guy who was giving me the keys for the garage and have a well needed coffee...or 2...I met the model an hour later and grabbed some lipstcik and headed for the venue.

It was cold, very cold, but after we got going everything was fine and we were done within 3 hours. I took over 300 photos and when I thought we could stand the cold no longer decided to call it day and head for some food and tea.

After hours and hours and hours of editing at ridiculus hours of the morning and many days, they were finally done. I managed to get it down to a final 20. I only need 3 images for the end result of my project, but I will get to that eventually. I am very much ontop of this work so I am not worried about taking a break over this week.

Here are a few of the final images, and once I decide on the final 3, I will let you know!

Here are the rest of the photos I took while i've been out. Now I need to get to work on finding aspects I like and build a shoot concept from it. Dayum.

Now The Streets Do The Styling

STILL looking at street style for my second project of the term, and it's starting to drive me a bit crazy! Nonetheless I have thrown myself into this as best as I can, and here are some of the trendy people of London that I photographed upon part 1 of wanderings.

Street Style

For one of my projects at university we have to look at street style. Sounds simple enough? Think again. We have been asked to identify what style 'tribe' we fit into, photograph a range of people that have different style to us, and then create a mock fashion editorial for the whole thing.

First problem? What 'tribe' do I fit in?
Solution: Photography myself in what I choose to wear for the day and hopefully establish my 'style'

Here is today's outfit. I'm going to try and keep up with this as it should help my project, 'should' being the word to focus on here.
